Incident Summary:

04/01/2018: Assailants abducted approximately 20 civilians from Koubou, Haut-Mbomou, Central African Republic. Security forces rescued 15 hostages shortly after the kidnapping, though two hostages were injured during the rescue operation. The fate of the remaining five hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).
