Incident Summary:
04/30/2018: An explosive device detonated targeting a vehicle carrying a police chief and the deputy district governor in Bihsud district, Nangarhar, Afghanistan. This was one of two related attacks carried out in this area on this day. The police chief was killed and four others, including the deputy district governor and three police officers, were injured across the two blasts. The Khorasan Chapter of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
