05/11/2018: Assailants abducted a village chief and two of his relatives from Thanchi, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Two of the hostages were released on May 14, 2018, while the remaining hostage was rescued on May 17, 2018. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the kidnapping to the Arakan Army (AA).
