Incident Summary:

05/17/2018: Assailants attacked a United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) convoy in Alindao, Basse-Kotto, Central African Republic. At least one peacekeeper and 40 assailants were killed and eight peacekeepers and an unknown number of assailants were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to an Anti-Balaka Militia.
