07/06/2018: An explosive device detonated prematurely as an assailant attempted to throw it at Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) at the Karni Crossing in Nahal Oz, Southern, Israel. The assailant was killed and an unknown number of people were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources identified the assailant as Mohammed Abu Halima, a Palestinian extremist.
