07/07/2018: An assailant, identified as an Afghan soldier, opened fire on United States military personnel at an airport in Tarin Kot, Uruzgan, Afghanistan. One US soldier, identified as Corporal Joseph Maciel, was killed and two other US soldiers were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident, though the Taliban praised the assailant.
