Incident Summary:

07/07/2018: Assailants attempted to ambush the convoy of Nabi Jan Mullakhil, the Faryab police chief, in Almar district, Faryab, Afghanistan. Security forces opened fire on the assailants, killing seven of them and injuring nine. In addition, one security official was killed and two were injured in the clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
