07/17/2018: Assailants attacked security posts in Nawabad, Kunduz, Afghanistan. This was one of four related attacks targeting military and police posts in Imam Sahib district on this date. At least one soldier was killed and four police officers were injured across the attacks. In addition, 15 assailants were either killed or wounded. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
