Incident Summary:

01/08/2019: Assailants raided the house of a retired teacher in Saba Yoi district, Songkhla, Thailand. The teacher, Amata Samothanthawi, was hanged and his vehicle was stolen in the attack. This was one of two related attacks in Songkhla on this date. The stolen vehicle was later used in a car bombing. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN).
