07/23/2019: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle targeting the vehicle of Abdul Wudood, a district police chief, in Patani, Paktika, Afghanistan. At least two people, including the assailant and one civilian, were killed and five others, including two civilians and three police personnel, were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
