Incident Summary:

01/13/2020: Assailants armed with firearms raided Obi primary school and abducted six teachers in Avbiosi, Edo, Nigeria. Five hostages escaped shortly after the abduction. The remaining hostage, Esther Alabi, was released on January 15, 2020 following a ransom payment. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.
