Incident Summary:
02/24/2020: Assailants fired 50-100 projectiles, of which 90% were intercepted by the Iron Dome Missile Defense system, in Southern, Israel. There were no reported casualties in the incident. This was one of four projectile attacks in southern Israel on the same day. Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation to continued Israeli airstrikes in Gaza Strip that followed retaliatory Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) attacks. A spokesperson for Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) stated that the group wanted to "affirm the bombardment for bombardment model."

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
