04/01/2020: An explosive device detonated as security forces attempted to defuse it in the Makhoul mountain range in Baiji, Saladin, Iraq. One Federal Police officer was killed and two were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
