Incident Summary:

06/06/2020: An assailant opened fire and threw a pipe bomb targeting Santa Cruz County Sheriff's officers in Ben Lomond, California, United States. Sergeant Damon Gutzwiller was killed and two other officers and the assailant were injured in the ambush. Authorities arrested Steven Carrillo in connection with the attack. Sources stated that Carrillo was a member of the Boogaloo movement and that he wrote phrases in support of the group at the scene of the attack.
