07/12/2020: Assailants attacked a security post in Tamazan, Uruzgan, Afghanistan. At least 16 people, including four police officers and 12 assailants, were killed and one other police officer was injured in the attack. A police officer was taken hostage and the outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
