Incident Summary:
09/08/2020: Assailants attacked three cabins in Laguna Grande De lloncao area, Canete, Arauco district, Bio-Bio, Chile. The assailants forced residents to leave before setting fire to the cabins and stealing two vehicles. There were no reported casualties. This was one of two related incidents in Canete on this date. Mapuche activists claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in protest against the imprisonment of their members.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
