09/14/2020: An explosive device detonated targeting a military patrol in Bongongo, Ndian district, South-West, Cameroon. At least two soldiers were killed in the blast. In addition, one civilian was killed and a second civilian was injured after a clash ensued between the military and assailants in the area. Separatists claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. Success is not judged in terms of the larger goals of the perpetrators.
