Incident Summary:
09/20/2020: Assailants attacked Khash district, Badakhshan, Afghanistan. At least one police officer and seven assailants were killed and four other militia members were injured in the ensuing clash. This was one of two related incidents in Badakhshan on the same day. Additionally, at least 10 assailants were injured across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
