09/24/2020: An explosives-laden vehicle was detonated targeting a bus in Tal Halaf, Al Hasakah, Syria. At least two people were killed and 12 others were wounded. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
