12/09/2020: Assailants attacked security checkpoints in Mizan district, Zabul, Afghanistan. This was one of two related incidents. Six assailants were killed, and five others were injured across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban.

Criteria 1

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
