Additional Information A witness reported that three youths threw an object at the building. The attack took place during rising tensions between the Black and Jewish communities in Crown Heights. New York City Mayor, John Lindsay, established the Crown Heights Urban Actions Task Force two days after the attack. The task force was set up to deal with community problems.
