12/28/1996: An explosive device detonated near a cinema in Sonepat, Haryana, India. This was one of two coordinated bombings in Sonipat on the same day. At least 15 people were injured across both blasts. On October 11, 2017, a court convicted Abdul Karim Tunda, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) member, for his involvement in the attacks.
