04/13/1998: A remote triggered explosive device went off in Grozny, Chechnya, Russa, as the jeep of Mr. Varka Arsanov, the Vice President of Chechnya, was nearby. There were no casualties in this incident. Authorities suspected that Chechen rebels perpetrated the assassination attempt.
