07/19/1998: A car bomb went off, possibly prematurely, in Tziyon Square, in downtown Jerusalem, Israel. The driver was badly burned, but no other injuries or deaths occurred. HAMAS was suspected, but they denied involvement in the incident, also asserting that this was a car explosion, not a car bomb.
