Incident Summary:

09/11/1998: Three Chinese nationals were kidnapped on Sitangkai, a remote southern island in the Philippines. The families of the kidnapped were about to board their family van when three armed men entered their compound and dragged them outside to a waiting dark blue vehicle. No group claimed responsibility, but Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) was suspected of the attack.
