Incident Summary:

09/13/1998: Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) rebels kidnapped 20 police officers after a five-hour attack on the Sardinata police station in Colombia. The hostages were taken after some 300 rebels stormed the police outpost. There were no reports of injuries or fatalities in the attack.
