Incident Summary:

09/14/1998: A Sri Lankan military convoy was the target of a Claymore mine attack by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) at a place near Chenkalady junction in Batticaloa. A military bus that was part of the convoy was badly damaged. Reports said that a number of people were killed and several injured, but specific numbers were unavailable.
