03/19/1999: A pipe bomb was left in the mailbox of the Forest Guardians, an environmentalist group, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, U.S.A.. The pipe bomb was 10 inches long, had a cigarette fuse and was disarmed by the bomb squad. The Forest Guardians had been threatened previously for their pro-environment agenda. The perpetrators were unknown.
