Incident Summary:

03/26/1999: Three policemen and seven bystanders were injured by a suicide bomber in Taksim District, Istanbul, Turkey. The female bomber detonated two hand grenades, and security forces disarmed three others, which did not detonate. The bombing occurred near a bus belonging to security forces. The Kurdistan People’s Liberation Army (ARGK) claimed responsibility for the attack through DEM, a pro-Kurdish news agency.
