Incident Summary:

06/20/1999: Rebels of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) attacked the city of Huambo, Angola, with long-range artillery fire, reportedly in an attempt to divert attention from government forces who were fighting UNITA rebels in the city of Caala. At least three civilians were killed and 100 others were wounded in the attack, which ended on June 22, 1999.
