Incident Summary:

08/30/1999: A 19-year-old north Belfast man was grabbed by a group of republican men while out walking. He was beaten in the head, arms and legs with an iron bar and ordered to leave Belfast, Northern Ireland. The teenager went into hiding while attempts were made to find him accommodation on the mainland.
