Incident Summary:

9/27/1999: Three Portuguese television reporters were kidnapped in the Sistan-Baluchestan province, Iran. They were covering the Lisbon-Macau car rally at the time of the abduction. Members of Naru'i tribe abducted the reporters in response to the arrest of a ringleader of the band. The hostages were released on October 19, 1999, when negotiations failed.
