Additional Information Mar Mikhail was the third church targeted in November 1999 and though there were no civilian injuries in the attack, bloodstains found at the scene indicated the attacker was injured by the blast. Islamic religious authorities accused an Israeli agent of the attack; suspicions of a foreign agent were also were put forth by the Roman Orthodox church. No claim of responsibility was made.
