4/3/2000: Members of the National Liberation Army (ELN) blew up two bridges located along the road between Bogota and Medellin, Colombia. The attack was part of an "armed strike". Antonio Garcia, the ELN's second-in-command, stated that ELN would continue similar activities unless a national convention was called in order to address the country's problems.
