06/09/2000: Six people died when National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) allegedly attacked a heavy vehicle carrying goods on the outskirts of Malanje. The Angolan Armed Forces reacted to the attack. The assailants fired at the passengers before fleeing the area.
