Incident Summary:

7/12/2000: Suspected members of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Fighting (GSPC) ambushed a truck carrying Algerian soldiers in the mountains near Tébessa, Algeria. Seven soldiers were killed, two soldiers were wounded, and two other soldiers were kidnapped. The dead bodies of the kidnapped victims were discovered three days later.
