08/08/2000: Eleven people were injured when a 110 lb car-bomb exploded on Platerias Street in Madrid, Spain. The police were tipped off 20 minutes before the explosion by an anonymous source, and though the bombing was pinned on the Euskadi ta Askatasuna (ETA) no claim of responsibility was made.
