Incident Summary:

8/17/2000: A small improvised explosive device (IED) detonated outside of the office of the oil company, Sibneft, in downtown Moscow, Russia. The homemade device consisted of 200 grams of explosives. The explosion caused a small crater in the sidewalk, but caused no further damage or injuries. Authorities believe that the device was intended to scare Sibneft employees. No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
