9/4/2000: Rwandan Hutu militiamen attacked settlers on the outskirts of Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Six people were killed and nine people were injured in the attack. The assailants looted homes and took money, food and medicine before withdrawing to the Virunga National Park.
