Incident Summary:

9/17/2000: Stanko Kovacevic, a Serbian man, was killed when unidentified assailants threw a hand grenade into his yard in Gnjilane, Yugoslavia. Authorities originally believed that Kovacevic was transporting the grenade when it accidently exploded; however, they determined that the attack was perpetrated against him by others. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack and the motive is not known.
