Incident Summary:

9/24/2000: A 50 pound bomb with a homemade explosive partially detonated on the railway tracks on Belfast-Dublin railway line in Dunmurry, outside of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Sources received a call from individuals claiming to be from the Irish Republican Army (IRA) warning them about the bomb, resulting in a 36 hour security alert. Authorities discovered the partially exploded bomb in a metal case close to the Blacks Road railway bridge.
