10/05/2000: A suicide bomber blew himself up at an election rally in Medawachchiya, Sri Lanka. The blast killed thirteen, including the bomber, and wounded at least 45 others. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) were suspected of carrying out the attack.
