Incident Summary:

10/23/2000: Suspected members of the Muslim Jihad Force attacked the predominantly-Christian village of Kairatu, on Seram island, Indonesia. The assailants shelled the village with rocket launchers and burned down 17 houses. Two Christians, including a soldier, and at least five Muslims were killed in the fighting that ensued.
