11/21/2000: In Barcelona, Spain, Ernest Lluch, a former Spanish government minister, was shot and killed in a car park on the eve of national celebrations of the 25th anniversary of King Juan Carlos's proclamation as monarch. Euskadi ta Askatasuna (ETA) members were suspected of the attack.
