12/22/2000: Suicide bomber, Hashim al-Najjr, 22, detonated his explosive device in a café frequented by Israeli soldiers near Mehola settlement in the West Bank. The blast killed the perpetrator and injured three soldiers. After the attack, the Izz-al-Din al-Qassam Battalions, the military wing of HAMAS, claimed responsibility for the attack.
