1/23/2001: Unidentified assailants threw an explosive device at an election bus parked in southern Mersin province, Turkey. The bus was owned by the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP). No one was hurt in the explosion; however, the bus was damaged, as was the surrounding buildings. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
