2/27/2001: Maoist guerrillas shot and killed Tikaraj Aran outside of his home in Purana Gaon, Ramechhap district, Janakpur Zone, Nepal. Aran was a Nepalese Congress Convention member who had been cooperating with the guerrillas' demands for money. The motive behind the incident is unknown.
