Incident Summary:

03/27/2001: Suspected members of the Lord’s Resistance Army shot and killed nine students from the Jimmy Ssekasi Institute of Catering who were on a field trip at the Murchison Falls National Park. The school’s founder Jimmy Ssekasi and a game ranger were killed in the attack as well. Two students were injured in the attack, while two more were missing. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
