Incident Summary:

04/04/2001: A land mine exploded on a road outside Dohuk, Barwari district, Iraq, killing seven and wounding two who were traveling in a truck at the time. The victims of the attack were thought to be civil engineers working for the government area on projects involving repopulation. Although no group claimed responsibility for the attack, authorities blamed members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) for planting the mine.
