05/02/2001: A parcel bomb exploded in the face of a U.S. doctor in Saudi Arabia. Gary Hatch, the doctor, worked at the Saad Medical Center in Khobar. Hatch, the only victim, thought the package was a video tape. He suffered injuries to his face, hands, and left knee. The perpetrators were not known.
